Business Breakfast with MEP Philippe De Backer

The EUROCHAMBRES European Parliament 2014 elections Business Breakfast series connects the business community with leading figures from the current term. Running up to the May 2014 elections, each Business Breakfast will involve an MEP from a different political group who sits on a committee of particular relevance to business.

Opening the series will be Philippe De Backer (ALDE, Belgium), a member of the European Parliament’s ECON Committee and rapporteur on improving access to finance for SMEs. The Business Breakfast will provide an opportunity to review measures – legislative or otherwise - taken during the 2009-14 term in response to the financial and economic crisis and to discuss the role that the EU should play in the over the next five years to ensure that the business community can access the financial resources required to stimulate investment, employment and growth.
