While the European Union is about to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the EU’s largest ever expansion and there is a new impetus to a new round of enlargement including the Western Balkans, Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia, Eurochambres is inviting representatives from the EU institutions and from the business community in the European Union and the candidate and potential candidate countries to discuss the specific challenges and opportunities of EU enlargement for the business community as well as the key role which can be played by the business community in this process.

The event will be also an opportunity to present the results of two comprehensive surveys on the business perspective on EU enlargement conducted by Eurochambres respectively among companies in the candidate and potential candidate countries (with the support of national chambers in the aspiring countries) and chambers in the European Union. The event will allow chambers from the European Union and candidate and potential candidate countries to contribute actively to the on-going debate on EU enlargement.
