Towards the 2030 framework: reconciling climate action with economic competitiveness

On 23 and 24 October, the European Council is expected to decide on the cornerstones of Europe’s climate and energy policy until 2030. Against this background, the aim of this high-level policy dialogue is to discuss what energy and climate targets for 2030 are economically justifiable, how to avoid negative impacts on competitiveness and energy prices and how to ensure Europe’s attractiveness as a business location.
