Uncovering China’s Dairy Sector

The EU SME Centre, EUROCHAMBRES and our official partner, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, with the support of Enterprise Europe Network are happy to invite you to our next workshop on the Dairy Sector in China, which will take place on 9 June 2021 from 09:00-11:30 (CET) | 15:00 - 17:30 (Beijing local time).

The dairy market in China has witnessed a steady and substantial growth since the beginning of 1990s. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, China’s milk production in 2019 was 32 million tons. The output rose steadily and ranked among the top in the world, however, the production still cannot meet domestic demand and imports are needed to meet consumer demand. As China ́s urbanization expands and the middle class continues to grow, consumers‘ demand for high-quality  dairy  products  is predicted to further increase in the upcoming years. Despite this optimistic forecast, companies looking to enter the Chinese dairy market still need to invest time in getting prepared: be aware of the barriers of the market, understand the consumer trends in post-Covid times and create a brand awareness and reputation. This online workshop has been designed to help dairy producers understand the dairy market in China and prepare to grasp the opportunities while navigating the challenges of this particular market.
