What can the business community bring to EU Enlargement?

One week after the publication of the 2014 Enlargement strategy and progress reports by the European Commission, the conference will provide a forum for debate on key Enlargement issues of specific importance for the business community.

The conference will provide an opportunity to enhance the dialogue between the European institutions and business communities in both the EU and the candidate/potential candidate countries and will highlight how the business community can contribute to the enlargement process.

A first roundtable will consist of a dialogue between the European Commission (DG Enlargement) and the business community in the candidate and potential candidate countries focusing on how EU Enlargement can contribute to economic growth and job creation. In the second roundtable, representatives from other EU institutions will discuss with the EU business community how to improve the business environment and investment opportunities in the Western Balkans and in Turkey.
