WKÖ’s EU Agenda 2024+ for a resilient and economically strong Europe

The Austrian chamber’s WKO EU Agenda 24+ shows what is needed to rebuild Europe's economy and make it resilient in a changing world.

Strengthening the single market and supply chains, an open, strategic autonomy and security of supply for Europe as well as reindustrialisation are necessary - accompanied by investments in research, innovation and digitalization. In addition, the financing of the transformation must be promoted by reducing bureaucracy instead of making it more difficult.

The EU 2024+ agenda is divided into five areas:

• Increasing competitiveness through a deepened single market and active trade policy
• Sustainable transformation with an affordable and secure energy supply
• Research and innovation as drivers of SME and industrial policy
• Developing a strategy to secure skilled workers
• Securing sustainable public finances & further developing the Capital Markets Union
